Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ViewOnceSecret ("the Service"), operated by Gradiolex ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible at viewoncesecret.vercel.app.

By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

ViewOnceSecret lets you create one-time links containing encrypted text or files. Once a link is opened (or its expiry timer elapses), the content is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

The Service is provided free of charge with no account or registration required. We reserve the right to add paid features in the future, which will always be clearly communicated.

You may use ViewOnceSecret to share:

• Passwords, API keys, access tokens, and credentials
• Personal notes and sensitive text that you want self-destructed after reading
• Private files and documents (up to 15 MB) intended for a specific recipient
• Any lawful content you have the right to share

You are solely responsible for the content you share using the Service and for ensuring it is lawful in your jurisdiction and the recipient's jurisdiction.

You must not use ViewOnceSecret to share:

• Content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the recipient's jurisdiction
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors
• Malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code
• Content that facilitates fraud, identity theft, or financial crime
• Threats, harassment, or content intended to harm specific individuals
• Content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights

You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or otherwise abuse the Service's infrastructure.

The ViewOnceSecret name, logo, and website design are owned by Gradiolex. You may not use them without written permission.

The client-side encryption code is open-source and available for review. You retain full ownership of any content you encrypt and share through the Service. We claim no rights over your secrets.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what minimal data we collect and why we literally cannot read your secrets.

We aim to keep ViewOnceSecret available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability and will provide reasonable advance notice where possible.

Do not use ViewOnceSecret as your only copy of critical information. Secrets are designed to be ephemeral — once deleted, they cannot be recovered.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from security vulnerabilities. While we implement strong encryption and security practices, no system is 100% secure.

You use the Service at your own risk. We strongly recommend not using ViewOnceSecret as the sole security layer for extremely sensitive credentials.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradiolex shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for the free tier, is zero).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Since ViewOnceSecret requires no account, there is nothing to "terminate" in the traditional sense. However, we reserve the right to block IP addresses or rate-limit access for abuse, violations of these Terms, or to protect the integrity of the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Any secrets you have created that have not yet expired will remain active until their expiry time unless you delete them manually.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

If you are located in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under applicable local consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a notice on the website.

Continued use of the Service after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
